Does Echo require an internet connection?

The Echo app interacts with our servers (in the cloud) to sync all your info between devices, and to send prayer requests out to group members and feed followers. So almost everything is done online.

With that said, we’ve done a ton of custom work to allow Echo to work offline (or with a spotty internet connection) as well as possible!

When you’re offline, you to still have access to the majority of Echo's functionality. You can add, edit, delete, and share prayers, add or remove group members, and also pray while offline. Once you are back on a connection, all your changes will be synced and ready to go.

Some other features (such as creating a new feed, or inviting followers to a feed) are only available when you’re online.
